We went to rural Utah to a pretty snazzy ranch with a giant lodge to hang out for a few days with my mom's family. All the descendants of my grandmother Klea Worsley were there except 2 which meant 85 people, including spouses. It was a lot of fun seeing people I'd not seen in years. Since we don't get out west much and they don't come here much, some family members have gone from being in grade school to being out of college since I've spent time with them.|
The whole picture set:
My sons Lucas and Sean with their newest cousin Lucy Kent Blake Williams
My cousin Doug Christensen, illustrating 'Synergy'. When I was 15 and he was 11, I flipped him off because he was bugging me, and he had never seen anyone use the middle finger gesture. Growing up Mormon means staying innocent as long as possible, which isn't a bad thing.
We had a family talent show, which was people doing stuff at the front of the room while the audience shaded off into people milling around and babies crying at the back of the room. Very ambient. My uncle Chris' talent was gurning.
My Aunt Idonna who is 86, and is the last sibling of my Grandmother left alive.
And as the sun sets in the west, we bid a fond adieu to Altamont Utah, taking with us the rich memories of how wonderful (and nuts) our family is
