(no subject)

Well, I've been plugging away at putting together a live set tonight off and on for about a month, and I realized this afternoon that I hated what I had done, and that I didn't want to do it. I have a great idea of how to proceed but I'm having trouble keeping the UI simple enough to work in the dark, and really DIRECT where the set is going live wise.

So I'm going to spin from CDs tonight. Pffft whatever. Not like I'm famous or getting paid or anything like that. I have great tracks -- some downloaded oldies, a grip of my own stuff, some by my friends... I have a wicked unreleased Kooky Scientist track, too. We'll see how it goes.

Part of my problem is that I seem to have a constant mindshare for creative pursuits, and I've had my head way into work, having to learn a lot about image processing on the fly. The more I work with ITK, the more brilliant I think the design is. Brilliant in ways that I can't really explain to non-programmers, perhaps, but y'all will just have to take my word for it. My department is trying to get more grants to do work on it from the NIH/NIMH archipelago, I'm hoping it flies so I won't get stuck doing something icky.
