Last year I put forward My Plan For Iraq. People said that dropping thousands of tons of Pop Tarts on the country was absurd. They were right.|
But how absurd is Spending $15,000 per working-age Iraqi</a> on 'liberating' them?
I really think we need a top to bottom audit of the $166 Billion so far spent over there. That's $166,000,000,000 folks. What have we gotten for our money?
930 Dead Americans. Somewhere between 6000 and 12000 wounded.
4,895 to 6,370 Iraqi Military Dead.
Between 11,000 and 13,000 dead Iraqi civilians.
Where is our money going? Good question. Bombs and tanks and such are expensive, plus 140,000 soldiers on the ground, earning at least minimum wage. We threw millions of dollars at Ahmed Chalabi, whose lies were in large part what got us into Iraq. But it still doesn't add up.
There are 293,956,746 people in the United States. $166 Billion works out to $564.71 per person.
I want my $564.71 back, bitches.
