This is something -- unlike most things I cook -- that I get requests from Melissa for:

Salad dressing: 1/4 cup oil (olive+walnut in my case, but whatever you like), 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, tablespoon prepared french mustard (e.g. Grey Poupon, though some of those green french mustards would rock), 1/2 tsp salt, ground pepper. Add herbs to taste; Herbes Aux Provence would be good.

Salad -- whatever you like

Toasted chopped walnuts -- about 1/4 cup for a salad for two. English walnuts not black walnuts. Black Walnuts taste narsty.

Chevre soft goat cheese, to taste.
