Message In a Bottle [Nov. 10th, 2006|10:21 am]
Okrzyki, przyjaciel!
This showed up in my work e-mail. It looks like a bayesian filter fooler -- i.e. spam, but it has no spam or viral payload, just a simple text message from someone random -- one "Henry Mendoza."

A LADY NAMED JUNE

When I come home from school.
so the teachers cannot write.
No, I really don't see how.
They said, "Today's St. Patrick's Day
and we've locked the school's front door.
I felt it on my ear.
Cause Freddie does it for me! I didn't do my reading.
They said, "Today's St. Patrick's Day
I think it's very mean!" I did a lousy job.
When I come home from school.
Like history and math.
There won't be school no more.
I feel so very guilty.
I feel so very guilty.
and itchy skin with blisters-
I don't like doing homework.
Could I have done my homework?
that I would like to make.
oh so blotchy red and hivy-
I felt it on my ear.
There was mischief in their eyes.

Who Loves Nuts? [Nov. 10th, 2006|06:07 pm]
Okrzyki, przyjaciel!

From Idolator's regular feature on Public Access TV. This is all pretty silly but damn I like this song for it's wistful melody and hair metal bombast. The guy singing mangles pronunciation so badly I've no idea what he's singing but the chorus sounds like "Who Love Nuts." And maybe I don't remember the 80s that well any more, but was there ever a trend for hair bands to have a black guy in overalls play bass?

The music video is followed by women bathing while fully clothed. In 80s wear. With big hair. When it comes right down to it. This video has everything.
