I suppose if I only find out about something by reading it in the NY Times, it's already played. But this is funny as hell. There's some controversy about it promoting stereotypes, but it's a cartoon -- by definition it is a broad caricature. And the message of it -- though I'm sure he'd hate it -- is the same sort of message Bill Cosby is promoting. And it's SATIRE -- it makes fun of the stereotypical hip hop video, and public service announcements, at the same time. Would anyone watching this truly think "darn those negros with their guns and 40s!"?
