You heard it here first

Icke Und Er are a hilarious hip hop duo from Berlin. 'Icke Und Er' (I and He or Me and Him) is like Goldie Looking Chain, who transmute hip hop into a site-specific expression. For germans, the outrageously exaggerated Berlin accent (hard 'k' for 'ch', changing soft 'g' into the german 'j') is an analog to Ali G's ridiculous south London patois. The refrain of this track 'Juti Juti Juti' is a dialect version of 'Gute Gute Gute.'

Nice beat too.

The disguises they wear make me think they have other identities in more straight ahead hip hop circles. But the way they capture the slacker youth of Berlin is hilarious. They're also one of the first big German MySpace phenomenon -- their first video got hundreds of thousands of plays, though they claim it cost 'less than a Currywurst' to produce. Currywurst being the German national junkfood -- bratwurst topped with curry-flavored ketchup.
