I sampled my niece Lucy's toy piano with the Zoom H4, cut it up and loaded it into Kontakt.

I know, it sounds like the Carillion from hell.

I thought (in honor of optic) of doing "Blue Monday" with it but I think it would be excruciating after about 60 seconds.

In my last post I presented a toy piano version of Eric Satie's "Trois Gymnopedie #1"

In looking on last.fm for a piano version of the original I stumbled on this album:

Chill With Satie

Go to this link only if you have a strong stomach. Compared to the execrable version of 'chilling' that (mis)informs the creators of this CD, listening to an all day marathon of Cannibal Corpse is a picnic in the park. Listen to any track on 'Chill with Satie' and you'll be raping the limbless cadavers in no time.

Toy Piano Samples [Aug. 20th, 2008|10:41 pm]

This zip has the samples, a Kontakt3 instrument, and an Ableton Live Drum Rack instrument.

Since I'm not a brainiac, the Drum Rack may come up and say it can't find the samples. They're in the "Toy Piano Samples" subdirectory.

And if you don't have Kontak3 or Live7, just make what you will of the wav files.
