As I've said before I have middlebrow tastes. Add to that this: I have earned my geek tags, irrevocably, by being sucked in by Battlestar Galactica. The new season started tonight, and if you have any attachment to the series at all, the end of this episode can only be summed up this way: "Oh FUCK!" When I was a kid, and I got involved in a TV series, what I felt at the end of any episode was a feeling that it was over way too soon, and I couldn't wait for the next episode. It's been a long time since I've felt like that.

Seriously, warm up your bittorent client, or buy the DVDs, and get up to speed. There is nothing else on TV that is as good as Battlestar Galactica. Except, perhaps, Inside The Actor's Studio. That shit is crazy.

Oh, and "Book of Daniel" was pretty sweet too. Best dramedy since "Wonderfalls," so watch it so they don't cancel it.

Of course, what you probably doesn't matter that much unless you're a Nielsen Family. I've always wondered about that -- what stays on TV is in the hand of a small sampling of American viewers. What if they're all a bunch of dunces?

Here's hoping the opposition of the dumbass Christian Right is enough to raise "Book Of Daniel"'s profile. It would be the first positive thing done for us since forever.
