I find that once I've set up Cubase with a bunch of instruments, and do a track, it's sometimes useful to delete all the MIDI data and start over and make a completely different track. i just whatever I've loaded and try and play something completely different with it.|
This is basically just patches from the stock content that comes with Kontakt 2 -- Acoustic Pizzacato bass, Cello and Flute. Everything gets fed through a couple of instances of Vaz Modular. Some reverb and delay added after the fact.
All parts I played in, close to first take, no quantization. The end result is a very loose, vague sound that wavers between a Fminor and C major tonal center...
If you want, take it and cut it up and do something else with it...
And it's 'skunk ambient' because the original cubase project involved sampling "Skunk" by the MC5.
