In which we learn English obscenity isn't quite so obscene in France.
Once again my knowlege of French is just good enough to know that the lyrics don't really translate into English entirely. What I gather from Google translations is that A) It is an antiwar song B) She -- naturally -- brings up sex. C) They might not go to church any more but the French know their Catholic imagery -- "Marie's blood" D) "Make Love Not War" sounds better in French at this point than in English: "Faites l'amour Nous la guerre."
She also coins an interesting word: "guerrieres" which is a plural noun meaning "the warlike" but rhymes with "derriere." So there you have a perfect word "guerrieres" meaning "warlike assholes."
