Outlandish spam e-mail names used to be one of my favorite internet time-wasters -- looking for legit mail in my spam folder, I'd see e-mail from people I'd actually wish were real, that I could meet, like Triumphantly H. Fathead.
But something happened in the world of spammers, and they stopped using whatever genius random name generator came up with all those gems. Farewell, Buzzer M. Strangleholds, we hardly knew ye!
I'm not alone in loving all those , of course, and there are numerous spam name generators out there on the Internet. But I've tried a few, and none of them had the ridiculosity of the one the spammers were using.
So now the joy has gone out of my spam folder, with only the occasional glimmer of random joy. Like the e-mail in my spam folder now, from my good friend Dropped Butterside.
