NYT Editorial Page Sucks A Nut [Jul. 6th, 2007|09:15 am]
Okrzyki, przyjaciel!
I'm sure that I'll get comments along the lines of 'DUH?' for this but ...

The NYT Editorial page, with the exception of Thomas Friedman, is getting worse. Starting with David Broder's clueless column defending the Libby pardon, to Maureen Dowd's unfunny jokey column about Hillary and Bill, to the subtle character assination by faint praise they've been visiting on Obama ... I suppose there are opinion pages left that have columnist who aren't complete ninnies, but sadly, not the New York Times.

Do they even READ those columns before they publish them? They seem to have come up with the perfect losing formula -- witlessly liberal enough to justify the Limbaughs of the world, yet subtly reactionary enough to undermine progressive ideas. Fucking fuckos need to step the fuck off.

After that World is Flat book, I can never take Friedman seriously again.

I haven't read the book. What I've heard about it sounded reasonable. What is your complaint about it?

it is written by and maybe for the over 50 set who doesn't really understand this whole "internet" thing. the premise is pretty basic and obvious and the stories run along the lines of "omg, the internet helped me win that big sale" or "i found my long lost classmate". there isn't really a single insight or shred of info for anyone who, i don't know, actually has uses the internet.

now if you if you are a CEO who has someone read and then print your emails for you, this book is for you.

friedman is a tool too. the only tolerable one amongst them is paul krugman, who is basically a hero of mine. all the rest can suck a dick.

5 points for being able to use the word 'fuck' in 3 separate forms in one sentence without feeling forced.
