|100 words challenge

How To Learn Any Language is a really interesting post to me. After spending many years in school studying German, my verbal fluency really sucks, and one of my fantasy vacations is to live in Berlin and take language classes.|
But that is secondary to my challenge: There are lists in this post of the most common words in written and spoken English. Compose a poem or short expository text using just those words. Post it as a comment to this post. I've not yet done this; I will do so as well.
EDIT: Why is 'oil' on the list of written words? It's practically the only noun naming something semi-specific aside from people.
The thing about this is with such a restricted group of words, you could accidentally write a sestina.
Goodbye, people! Here I come!
I go to the same place always,
I can not stay. Please, love.
Love! People come and go, but
think of me always. I will, of you.
We are the same, and not the same.
Because of this, we often can not see
how to make it last.
Please, make it last.
